What’s the #1 reason to study bass at Milton Keynes Music Academy?
Our bass instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student’s favorite type of music. Whether you’re playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the bass after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
Do I need to purchase a bass to learn the instrument?
The Academy offers basses for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a bass. Thanks to our teachers’ suggestions you can find a variety of instruments appropriate for beginners.
The Milton Keynes Music Academy is the number one bass lessons program in Milton Keynes.
(AGES FIVE AND UP)
Our bass instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic basses. Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of bass method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.
What styles of bass do you teach?
We teach all styles, from rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country and classical bass – on electric and acoustic basses.
How qualified are your bass instructors?
Our bass and music instructors have received their education from the most prestigious institutions of the United Kingdom and abroad. Many have toured Europe, the US and Asia, and bring over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons. In fact, our founder and director Gabriele Baldocci is one of the world’s leading pianists, having collaborated with piano legend Martha Argerich and currently enjoying a recognised international career as a professor and performer. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.
